Prevent biofilm in drinking lines
Discover the power of ultrasound technology.
WHAT IS HARSONIC
HARSONIC is a specialized ultrasonic technology developed in Belgium.
It is a chemical-free, electronic system designed to permanently remove and prevent biofilm—the slimy layer of bacteria and microorganisms that attaches to surfaces.
HOW IT WORKS
Harsonic uses ultrasound combined with a proprietary "HS technology" to create vibrations that spread through the liquid and the surface material (pipes, hulls, or tanks).
Harsonic uses a non-intrusive, surface-mount application. The transducer (the device that emits the ultrasound) is attached to the outside of the pipe, tank, or hull. The ultrasonic waves migrate through the solid material and into the liquid, meaning no contact with the fluid is required.
-
Disruption
The sound waves bring the material and liquid into resonance, making it impossible for microorganisms to adhere to the walls.
-
Soft Cavitation
It uses "soft" cavitation, which is powerful enough to burst the cell walls of algae and single-cell organisms but gentle enough that it does not damage the metal, plastic, or concrete surfaces.
-
24/7 Prevention
Unlike chemical flushes that are periodic, Harsonic runs continuously to ensure biofilm never has the chance to re-establish.
CORE ADVANTAGES
-
Ecological
100% chemical-free; replaces biocides and chlorine.
-
Low Energy
The devices typically consume very little power (around 6W).
-
Maintenance-Free
Once installed, the units require little to no attention.
-
Easy Retrofit
Fits onto existing installations regardless of age. Can be easily unclamped and moved.
-
Zero Downtime
Installation happens while system is running. No shutdown or emptying of tanks required.
